Kim Kardashian Is Single, Officially Releases Kanye West's Name

JAKARTA - Kim Kardashian is officially single Wednesday, March 2. A Los Angeles court accepted Kim's request to remove West's name from his name and divorce Kanye West.

The request that was made since December has now materialized and Kim Kardashian has managed to change her marital status. On the other hand, Kim and Kanye West still have to finalize the division of property and custody of their four children.

The court granted Kim Kardashian's request for a bifurcated divorce which was divided into two parts: changing her name and marital status as well as financial assets and custody.

The 41-year-old television star wrote in a statement that she wants to end her marriage to Kanye West as soon as possible.

"West disseminated private communications and misinformation about family matters and co-parenting, which caused emotional distress," Kim Kardashian said in a statement last month.

"I believe the court canceling our marital status will help Kanye accept that our marriage is over."

Unlike Kim Kardashian, Kanye West hopes Kim doesn't cancel his status. Kanye West's attorney, Christopher Melcher, said being a bitch in the midst of a divorce could cause losses.

In addition, both Kanye West and Kim Kardashian are still fighting over custody of their four children: North, Saint, Chicago, and Psalm.

Kim Kardashian is suing Kanye West for divorce after seven years of marriage. Currently, Kim is in a relationship with Pete Davidson while Kanye West is with a woman named Chaney Jones.
