If Free, Jerinx Wants To Retire Noise On Social Media

JAKARTA - The trial of Jerinx, regarding the case of threats through electronic media to Adam Deni, was again held at the District Court (PN), Central Jakarta, Monday, February 14. The trial was scheduled to hear testimony from expert witnesses from the Public Prosecutor (JPU) and Jerinx's attorney.

From the results of the trial, one of Jerinx's attorneys, I Wayan Gendo, said he was optimistic that his client would be free. This is because there is no guarantee that the evidence used by Adam Deni to record the conversation with Jerinx is authentic.

"There is no guarantee from IT experts that the recordings that have been transferred from iPhone to Asus are authentic. It is admitted that there was a transfer and a download and then cuts can occur because there are different sizes," said Gendo when met by VOI after the trial.

"Because I have never conducted an authenticity test and have never made a comparison. If you look at the evidence and based on Article 5 of the ITE Law, the key to proving the recording of this ITE case is to authenticate it. When there is no guarantee or guarantee, there has never been an authenticity test. The evidence does not have the power of proof. That is, if it is formulated strictly and the elements are strictly applied, it is very likely that Jerinx will be free," he added.

Seeing the positive results of the performance of his attorneys, Jerinx was very satisfied and learned a lot from this case. He even admitted that he would retire for fussing on social media.

"I am quoted as a public figure, I really should be extra careful in communicating, especially through social media. Hopefully this will be the last one," said Jerinx.

"After the second case, it was enough to teach me a lesson because the prison was not in Bali, far from home, then I really felt that this was the right time to retire and fuss on social media. Social media is only for work," he concluded.

The next Jerinx trial will be held on Wednesday, February 16 with the agenda of reading the demands of the Public Prosecutor.
