JAKARTA - The film Kukira Kau Rumah has succeeded in achieving success by garnering more than one audience in 5 days of showing in theaters. The film is an adaptation of the lyrics of Aya Canina's song Amygdala. Aya is the vocalist of the band Amygdala, which has now left the band since February 16, 2021.

Aya reportedly left the band due to violence by her boyfriend who is also a member of the Amygdala. This news became even more excited after being re-uploaded by Fiersa Besari via his Twitter account @FiersaBesari.

"Yes. I left the Amygdala because I experienced dating violence during that 3.5 year period. And it really affected my mental state. Who was my girlfriend at the time? Vocal 2 and Lead Guitar. The one who always sang with me." wrote Aya Canina through her Instastories.

The article was then re-uploaded by Fiersa Bersari on Twitter and became viral. "Instagram story of Aya Canina (former vocalist of Amygdala) tonight. Tired, painful," wrote Fiersa.

On the other hand, Aya tries to explain that the lyrics of the song Kukira Kau Home were written in 2016 as poetry, long before the Amygdala was formed.

"As a poem with only one stanza, this is how it started: I thought you were home, it turns out that you were just a rental and the body of a woman asking you to come home," wrote Aya Canina on her Instagram account @ayacanina on Wednesday, February 9.

Do not want news of the violence experienced by Aya to be linked to her film, Umay Shahab, as the director of the film Kukira Kau Rumah, replied to Fiersa's tweet. "A little added bro so that there is no misinformation about my work, that the film Kukira Kau Home has absolutely NOTHING to do with what happened. Thank you in advance," wrote Umay Shahab via Twitter @umayshhhhb.

The film Kukira Kau Rumah only takes a snippet of lyrics which later becomes the story of the film. "There are lyrics 'from the story of a woman who invites you to go home'. The lyrics were later adapted into a film script with another story," said Umay to VOI some time ago.

The author's story on Instagram is in line with the mental health issue raised in the film Kukira Kau Home. Trauma and fear make it difficult for Aya to talk.

While Kukira Kau Rumah tells the story of the mental health of a bipora lover. This film has managed to collect 1,193,436 viewers in six days of screening in theaters.
