Playing Rainbow Without Color, Maudy Koesnaedi Was Hesitating To Release Zaenab's Character

JAKARTA - Maudy Koesnaedi was hesitant when he was offered to play in the film Rainbow Without Color. Especially when he finds out that he will be paired with Rano Karno.

"From the first time I knew Bang Rano, in my imagination, Rano, Bang Doel. I never imagined that I would play with Bang Rano other than the film Si Doel. So I will make sure again, is it true that you want to be paired as Kirana and Fedi?" said Maudy when met in Duren Tiga, South Jakarta, Thursday, January 27.

Rainbow Without Color is a production of Falcon Pictures directed by Indra Gunawan. This film itself tells the story of Fedi (Rano Karno), whose beautiful marriage plan is ruined because his wife has Alzheimer's disease. From day to day, Kirana (Maudy Koesnaedi) keeps forgetting all the simple to the most important things in her life.

The situation turned so full of emotion that it seemed as if the calm in the house disappeared, then replaced with endless sadness. Fedi continues to be tested with Kirana's condition which is getting worse day by day. The household duties that were originally held by his wife, are now fully burdened by him. Can Fedi survive or even choose to give up?

To play a character who has Alzheimer's, Maudy seeks information about this disease and asks the director a lot. "It turns out that there are many levels of Alzheimer's. So I asked the experts first. Then I submitted it to director Indra Gunawan, what kind of character do you want Kirana to be," he explained.

Meanwhile, Rano Karno admitted that he was impressed with Maudy Koesnaedi who was able to let go of Zaenab's role in this film. "At one point Maudy was very angry. After filming I gave a thumbs up, because there was no way Zaenab was so angry," he explained.
