Jerome Polin Clarifies Racing Tweet After Criticism By Sean Gelael

JAKARTA - Jerome Polin made a clarification after it was called underestimating the Indonesian racer by Sean Gelael.

Previously, Jerome Polin wrote a comment about the Astra Honda Racing Team rider Mario Suryo Aji who took part in the Moto2 series in Mandalika in March. However, the tweet seemed to question Indonesian racers in the international arena.

"GILEE IS SO COOL! Are there any Indonesian racers who race in international races? #IndonesiadiMotoGP," Jerome Polin asked on Twitter.

The tweet received a response from Sean Gelael for regretting Jerome's question about racers in Indonesia.

"I think you can be smart but they don't teach you respect. People who have a voice need to think more than getting views and likes,” said Sean Gelael on Instagram Story.

Sean also uploaded a photo of a row of Indonesian racers who have brought the country's name in the international arena. Some of them are Gerry Salim, Doni Tata, Rio Haryanto, Ananda Mikola, Dimas Ekky, and himself.

"Learn from the heroes who have worked hard to make the nation @jeromepolin proud," continued Sean.

After that, Jerome Polin wrote a public apology that he had discussed with Sean Gelael about the tweet.

"Hello everyone, Bang Gelael and I discussed this tweet earlier and I got a lot of advice from him. Thank you to all who have given advice, info2, etc. Im sorry and will learn from this," said Jerome Polin.
