Called Damon Albarn Can't Write Songs, Taylor Swift: Your Opinion Is False

ByJAKARTA - Singer Taylor Swift spoke up after Damon Albarn of the band Blur claimed he didn't write his own lyrics. Previously, Damon Albarn spoke to the LA Times about today's music.

Albarn praised Billie Eilish for being able to write song lyrics but not Taylor Swift.

“Taylor Swift? He doesn't write his own songs. Billie Eilish and her brother are interesting writers. I'm more attracted to them than Taylor Swift. Damon Albarn replied to the LA Times.

Hours later, Taylor tweeted an LA Times tweet mentioning his name. He emphasized that he wrote all the lyrics of the song.

“I was a huge fan of yours until I saw this. I wrote ALL of my songs. Your opinion is completely false and detrimental," Taylor Swift said on Tuesday, January 25, United States time.

“You don't have to like my songs but to hell with discrediting my writing. WOW," Swift said again. He also added that the tweet was written by Taylor Swift herself.

It didn't take long, Damon Albarn replied with his personal account. He apologized for making the comment.

"I agree with you. I had a discussion about songwriting and unfortunately it was clickbait. I apologize unconditionally and unconditionally. The last thing I want is to discredit your writing. I hope you understand,” said Damon Albarn.

Despite his comments, fans think Damon Albarn still underestimates Taylor Swift's ability to write songs, let alone compare Taylor Swift with other musicians.
