Caught Using Counterfeit Goods, Song Ji A's 'Single's Inferno' Appearance On Television Was Cut

JAKARTA - Having just gained popularity, Song Ji A's name has become dim. After being caught wearing counterfeit goods, his television appearance had to be cut off.

Recently, Song Ji A was involved in a controversy after being caught wearing fake designer clothes in the program Single's Inferno which aired on Netflix. Some netizens found that the brand clothes Ji A wore were fake and mostly imitated well-known brands.

Then Song Ji A wrote an apology while admitting that the controversy was true. "The controversy about fake designer clothes being criticized is true. I'm really sorry," Song Ji A said via Instagram on Monday, January 17.

"I apologize once again for everything that happened because of my ignorance of creative work and copyright. As a person with a dream to create a brand, I am aware of this and I am reflecting on this incident," he continued.

The controversy turned out to be the result of Song Ji A's appearance on television. It is known that he was invited to a number of events, one of which was The Manager.

Thursday, January 20, the production side of The Manager stated that it would cut Song Ji A's performance which was recorded with actress Kang Ye Won. That part originally aired on January 29.

"After discussing with the guest stars, we decided not to air the recording of Song Ji A. The January 29 broadcast will still be carried out with the other members of the show," said The Manager, quoting Soompi.

On the other hand, netizens discovered the fact that Song Ji A also lied by creating content to buy designer goods through her YouTube but after searching, it turned out that the items were also fake.
