Proven Laura Anna's Harm, Gaga Muhammad Sentenced To 4.5 Years In Prison

JAKARTA - Gaga Muhammad underwent a trial in a traffic accident case on Wednesday, January 19. In the trial, the panel of judges stated that Gaga Muhammad was proven negligent in driving on the road.

"Declaring that the defendant is proven legally and convincingly driving a motor vehicle because his negligence caused the victim to be seriously injured," said the judge, launching Paragram.

Later, the judge read out the verdict that Gaga Muhammad was sentenced to 4 years and 6 months.

"Imposing a prison sentence of 4 years and 6 months, a fine of Rp. 10 million with a 2-month prison sentence if you don't pay," said the judge.

Previously, the Public Prosecutor (JPU) charged Gaga with Article 310 paragraph (3) of the Law on road traffic and transportation. Gaga was sentenced to 4.5 years in prison.

Gaga Muhammad was involved in an accident with his ex-lover, Laura Anna, on December 8, 2019. Because of this, Laura suffered from a spinal cord injury that caused paralysis in all parts of the body.

Two years later, Laura's family reported Gaga to the police for being irresponsible. Laura Anna died on December 15, 2021 in the middle of the investigation process.

Regardless, Laura Anna's family and friends ensure justice for her is still there.
