Jikunsprain Spreads Paroxism, Sudden Attack Of The Dark World

JAKARTA - The rock unit from Jakarta, Jikunsprain, launched a new single titled Paroxisma on January 15 yesterday. Jikunsparain is a side project of a guitarist from a band from Bandung, /rif.

Apart from Jikun on guitar, Jikunsprain is still fronted by Koko Sasongko (vocals), Kevin Sugito (drums) and Daeng Oktav (bass). However, considering that Oktav no longer lives in Jakarta, the process of composing the song, which was produced by Bayu Randu from Musicblast, was carried out remotely.

In Jikunsprain's first appearance in 2022, on January 8th, at Star Kemang, Jikun and friends brought Paroxisma without Oktav's presence. His position was filled by Lie Andi who had strengthened the formation of RI 1, a side project of the former Boomerang duo; Roy Jeconiah and John Paul Ivan.

The title Paroxisma itself is taken from the Albanian language, 'natyra paroxisma'. That is, a sudden attack from the world of darkness that destroys the spirit.

According to an official statement received by VOI, Tuesday, August 18, this single is very parallel and relates to the condition of the many bad influences that are milling about on social media.

"In fact, this opinion is not necessarily true," said the band's founder and mastermind, Jikun.

Paroxisma will be included in the latest full album Jikunsprain which will be released this year.

“There are still four other songs that only need to be filled with bass and vocals, which will be an album in 2022. It seems that the album title is still the same, namely Paroxisma. Simple, striking, quite happy for you to headbang with us," concluded Jikun.
