Judged as Arrogant, Doddy Sudrajat Abstained from the Call of the National Commission for Child Protection

JAKARTA - The father of the late Vanessa Angel,  Doddy Sudrajat, is scheduled to attend the National Commission for Child Protection on Saturday, January 15. The agenda is to find a mediation formulation between Doddy and Faisal regarding the care of Gala Sky Ardiansyah. However, Doddy was not present.

The chairman of the National Commission (Komnas) for Child Protection, Arist Merdeka Sirait, said he was disappointed with the absence of Doddy Sudrajat. Arist called Doddy arrogant because he was not willing to accept the goodwill of the National Commission for Child Protection.

"Sorry, he (Doddy) refused. He said there was no problem. I think this is arrogance from Mr. Doddy. Even though we have good intentions. And we don't side with anyone," said Arist when met in the Pasar Rebo area, East Jakarta, Saturday, January 15th.

In fact, after the visit to Gala's house, Faisal has given the full trust to Arist to mediate. Therefore, Arist thinks that Doddy has no intention of finding a solution to his problems with Aunt Andriansyah's family.

"Doddy refused and we have good intentions, there is no interest whatsoever. Even though the invitation was for the benefit of Mr. Doddy himself. That means Mr. Doddy does not want to solve this problem," said Arist.

Arist admitted that he was confused by the attitude of Doddy Sudrajat who suddenly turned against Komnas PA. Because from the start, it was Doddy himself who came to ask for help from Komnas PA to solve the problem of Gala's upbringing.

"From the start, this was Pak Doddy's request, not Komnas," said Arist.

According to Arist, the National Commission for Child Protection has sent an invitation letter to Doddy. However, Doddy replied to Arist's WhatsApp message and confirmed that there was nothing more to clarify.

"I actually gave the opportunity today to Mr. Doddy. He refused, he said he didn't want to come to the National Commission for Child Protection and he said 'what else needs clarification? What else needs to be formulated for mediation?' said Arist Merdeka Sirait.

For him, Doddy Sudrajat's treatment was a form of humiliation to the institution. "We are an institution that tries to give the best for their grandchildren. We don't have to take sides, we are on any side," said Arist.
