Withdrawing From AOMG, Jay Park Is Ready To Create A New Idol Group
Jay Park (AOMG)

JAKARTA - Jay Park is reportedly preparing a new idol group with Kakao Entertainment.

According to a Sports Chosun report, Jay Park is in the process of creating a male idol group that will later debut under his new label. Therefore, he cooperated with Kakao Entertainment as a form of business partnership.

Kakao Entertainment responded to the reports by saying, “Jay Park is an artist with talents in various fields as a singer and producer.”

"We are discussing various forms of business partnerships but nothing can be confirmed," he concluded.

Jay Park started a career in the music world by debuting as a member of 2PM in 2008. After leaving, he created labels AOMG and H1GHR Music which focused on hip hop and R&B genres.

"Just as JYP's Park Jin Young succeeded in creating idol groups with their colors, Jay Park will bring a new wave to the music industry by producing idols," said a source.

Public expectations of Jay Park's new project are starting to rise. Moreover, he recently resigned from the position of CEO of AOMG and H1GHR Music labels in December 2021.

“After considering feelings and time, I have decided to step down as CEO of AOMG and H1GHR Music. I know this decision came as a shock to many people but I will be an advisor to both labels and we continue to be a family and crew," Jay Park said on his Instagram.
