Riot Concert Impact, Dior Postpones Collaboration With Travis Scott

JAKARTA - The aftermath of the Astroworld concert riot continues. Reportedly, the fashion house Dior postponed the release of its collaboration with Travis Scott due to the hectic amount of negative news about the festival.

According to People's report, Dior and Travis Scott's side agreed to postpone the collaboration, which was scheduled for release in January 2022. This was done as a sign of respect for the victims of Astroworld.

"Out of respect for all those affected by the tragic events at Astroworld, Dior has decided to postpone the launch of the Cactus Jack product which was initiated into the summer 2022 collection," Dior said in a statement quoting Women's Wear Daily.

This decision was made by agreement of the two parties. Apart from Dior, the Nike brand also took similar steps for the Air Max 1 collaboration with Travis Scott.

The Astroworld Festival held on November 5 caused riots with 10 people dead and hundreds seriously injured. Some of the victims' families are suing Scott and his management and promoters legally.

The victim also rejected Scott's offer to pay for the funeral expenses. The lawyer also denied all claims by the victim's family because the rapper was deemed not directly responsible.

“Fans come to enjoy a good experience and I have a responsibility to see what happens. I have a responsibility to find a solution,” said Travis Scott in a recent interview.
