JAKARTA - The COVID-19 pandemic which has lasted for 6 months has made promoters make every effort to be able to provide entertainment to music fans. Various virtual events were held. However, how long will it last?

British promoter, Virgin Money, offers a new concept. The Sam Fender concert which was held in Gosforth Park, Newcastle a few days ago was billed as the first social distancing concert to be held in the midst of a pandemic.

The reason is, the concept initiated by Virgin Money is considered by many to be something promoters around the world will do.

Sam Fender's concert uses a box-shaped barricade system filled with 3-4 people. Inside the barricade there are 4 seats where the audience can sit while ordering food while watching the Will We Talk chanter.

Even though they are sitting separately, all spectators are required to wear masks while watching the concert. The performance can also be enjoyed without having to worry about being exposed to other people's droplets.

Apart from going deeper into the pockets of the organizers, social distancing concerts also need to be held in places that are guaranteed cleanliness. Not to forget, a series of tests must also be carried out on visitors so that they can watch the concert.

Initially, a virtual concert sounded like something to be fun. However, people are starting to miss real interactions including watching concerts, even though the pandemic has not ended.

In addition, being in front of a glass screen for too long also makes blood circulation not smooth and causes a lack of physical movement. Not to mention sleep disturbances that can reduce concentration.
