Speculation The Presence Of Robert Pattinson In Guardians Of The Galaxy 3

JAKARTA - James Gunn has dismissed rumors that Robert Pattinson was lined up to play a role in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 3.

Gunn will return to the beloved Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) franchise in 2022 after being rehired by Disney after his controversial sacking. But currently, he is leading the shooting of The Suicide Squad for DC Comics.

Recently, Gunn brushed aside online speculation about Pattinson joining the franchise. The British actor was previously selected to play Caped Crusader in director Matt Reeves' upcoming film The Batman.

Gunn addressed the claim on Instagram, when a follower responded to a post with the question: "There were rumors circulating that you wanted Robert Pattinson to play GotG but he ended up refusing. Is that true?"

Gunn then replied: "No, it's definitely not".

Pattinson also recently said he didn't really know how to act.

Speaking to The Guardian, Pattinson said he "only knew how to play a number of scenes, like, three ways, before revealing that he was nervous, like, every single film he played."

Previously, Gunn also opened his voice about the presence or absence of Batman in The Suicide Squad. Although not an official statement, this news is enough to provide certainty to fans.

While the plot details of the film are still kept secret, the director responds to a fan who asks about Batman's presence in the film he is working on.

In his official Instagram, Gunn ended the speculation that the Bat Man would be present in the film. He said, this DC project will focus on the character of the supervillain team, not Batman.

The Suicide Squad hits theaters on August 6, 2021.
