JAKARTA - The documentary film concert of K-pop idol group BLACKPINK titled BLACKPINK: The Movie is ready to air on Disney+ Hotstar on December 15, 2021. BLACKPINK: The Movie gives fans of Access All Areas the final two tours of the group celebrating its fifth year.

The documentary film directed by Su Yee Jung ("My Life in Your Memories", 2015) and Oh Yoon Dong ("Montecristo: The Musical Live", 2021 and "Toy Soldiers: Fake Men 2 The Complete", 2020) has been released in theaters and became the highest-grossing music documentary of 2021.

Created as a love letter to BLACKPINK fans - “BLINK” - “BLACKPINK: The Movie” features an exclusive interview with Jennie, Jisoo, Rosé and Lisa about their friendship and unforgettable experiences from their five-year journey.

Throughout this documentary, fans can enjoy exclusive footage, as well as behind-the-scenes clips of the music video making process, concert rehearsals and short films created for each BLACKPINK member.

Featuring 10 different live shows shot during the 2018 “IN YOUR AREA” and 2021 “THE SHOW” tours, fans will have the unforgettable experience of watching a stadium scale concert from their homes.

“BLACKPINK: The Movie” was announced last October as part of The Walt Disney Company's APAC Content Showcase, which announced 28 new titles and a commitment to bring over 50 APAC Originals content by 2023.

BLACKPINK fans can also soon witness Jisoo's debut in acting through the drama "Snowdrop" - telling the forbidden love story of a young couple that will air exclusively on Disney+ Hotstar this month.
