Make Warganet Fear Prayer, Makmun 2 Movie Called More Creepy

JAKARTA - The horror film Makmum was said by netizens to be afraid of praying alone. When it was shown in theaters in 2019, the film Makmum successfully garnered a total audience of 825 thousand. No wonder then Dheeraj Kalwani as producer was interested in making a sequel, Makmum 2.

Titi Kamal is the only player remaining in Makmum 2. Apart from Titi, there are Marcella Zalianty, Samuel Rizal, Dea Panendra and Ence Bagus in the lineup. Not only the players, the director also experienced a change from Hadrah Daeng Ratu to Guntur Soeharjanto.

Although MAKMUM was a success as Titi Kamal's horror debut, when she was offered to be involved in the sequel, she didn't immediately agree. The wife of actor Christian Sugiono needs to think carefully first.

"Honestly, I always think deeply when offered a horror film. Even though I have starred in the previous film, I asked for time to study the scenario. Before I finally accepted to appear in this horror film," Titi admitted in a release received by VOI, Friday, December 3 .

The official two-minute and fourteen-second trailer has been released ahead of its release on December 30. In the trailer, Rini's character, played by Titi Kamal, has developed a lot. The setting of the story also becomes wider, where previously it was a school, now it is a remote village.

MAKMUM 2 tells the story of Rini who is grieving because her husband died. The sad news grew when the aunt who took care of him as a child died. Together with his only child, he then decided to return to his hometown.

While in the village, Rini's child mysteriously disappeared. This makes the woman re-bound with the ghost of Makmum who almost cost her life many years ago. The setting of forests and remote villages in Makmum 2 makes this film feel even more sinister.
