Entourage, These 4 Starvision Drama Productions Are Ready To Show In Cinemas

JAKARTA - The Indonesian film industry is starting to find a bright spot as COVID-19 cases decline. Not wanting to waste the opportunity, the production house Starvision presents four new films that the audience has been waiting for.

The four films are Yowis Ben 3 from Fajar Nugros, Yuni from Kamila Andini, Teka-Teki Tika from Ernest Prakasa, and First & Second Love from Gina S. Noer. This row of names is not a new name in the Indonesian entertainment industry.

In a press conference held at Epicentrum XXI, producer Chand Parwez hoped that these four films would be a way for audiences to celebrate Indonesian films in theaters.

“Cinema is a place where creators interact with audiences. We need that," said Chand Parwez on Monday, November 8, 2021.

A similar statement was echoed by Fajar Nugros, the director of Yowis Ben 3. “It is a privilege to be side by side with three other films. This work was created in the era of a pandemic. This is proof that we filmmakers are working well,” said Fajar Nugros.

Ifa Isfansyah from Fourcolours Film chose Starvision as a forum for Yuni's film to be spread more widely.

“For me, good film is a good film. With Yuni and with our collaboration, this is borderless and an important film to be voiced," said Ifa Isfansyah.

The four new Starvision films will be released in quick succession. Yowis Ben 3 airs on November 25, 2021, Yuni airs December 9, 2021, Teka-Teki Tika on December 23, and First & Second Love on January 6, 2022.

"Actually, it's not a random order. Our consideration is that Yowis Ben has strong grass roots, we hope he can return grass roots to cinema,” explained Chand Parwez.

"All films are equally strong. We have a variety of family films with different approaches. It's impossible to play all four (at the same time)." he said again.
