Learning From Alec Baldwin's Case, Dwayne Johnson Avoids Filming With Real Pistols

JAKARTA - Hollywood actor Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson says he has avoided and will no longer use a real gun in his film after his best friend Alec Baldwin accidentally used a real gun and injured a cinematographer during filming.

Dwayne who introduced his latest action film "Red Notice" with Ryan Reynolds and Gal Gadot promised not to use real weapons again in his acting career until the production of the film at his production house Seven.

“I cannot comment on behalf of other production houses. I can't comment on other studios either, but I've definitely taken a new step and perspective on how we're going to use the property going forward," said Dwayne Johnson.

The star in the film "Fast & Furious" admitted that from now on his production house will use a rubber gun and prefer to use effects in the post production section even though it costs more.

He is very concerned about the safety factor for the crew and also the stars in the future during the filming process. Dwayne also regrets the unfortunate incident experienced by his friend Alec Baldwin.

Previously, Alec Baldwin in October 2021 accidentally shot cinematographer Halyna Hutchins on the set after testing with his gun property which turned out to contain live bullets.

Halyna breathed her last when the team took her to the hospital for further treatment.

The incident was unexpected because previously the property team from the film "Rust" starring Alec claimed to have checked and there were no bullets, so the tools used by Alec should be safe.

Until now the local security authorities are still conducting an investigation to complete the legal process of the tragic incident. Halyna Hutchins' husband, Matt Hutchins, hired a Los Angeles-based attorney to handle his wife's case. The wife was accidentally shot and killed by actor Alec Baldwin on the set of the film "Rust" last month.
