Dion Wiyoko Instills The Importance Of Clean Life In Indonesian Children

JAKARTA Actor Dion Wiyoko emphasized the importance of getting children to live clean and healthy from an early age. He admitted that he really understands how the activities of school children who are actively playing and explore each day.

"Moreover, as a parent, I understand very well that school children, especially my children. From an early age I started doing activities, playing, exploring new things. We as parents and teachers do not limit them from playing and exploring new things," said Dion Wiyoko when met on Jl. MH Thamrin, Menteng, Central Jakarta, on Wednesday, August 8, 2025.

This father of one child said that children's play activities certainly make them often come into contact with various objects that have the potential to carry germs and bacteria. Therefore, the role of parents in providing protection is very important.

While playing, we must be in contact with objects. We all know that many bacteria and germs gather. What can be pursued and done as parents and friends is to make preventive movements, namely protecting children from bacteria or germs," said Dion.

Through Nuvo Family, film star Sore: Wife of the Future with related parties seeks to educate the public about the importance of getting used to clean and healthy living behavior (PHBS).

The 41-year-old man also shared various educational activities regarding cleanliness carried out in several areas in Indonesia.

In Blangpidie, Aceh and Maros, South Sulawesi, we instill in a healthy clean generation to take important steps, such as maintaining the cleanliness of our hands, bodies, and clothes to be protected. We educate children, not only washing hands with soap, but also the importance of washing hands with soap when running water," explained Dion.

Dion explained six important movements and five main times in washing hands with soap.

Later children will get used to knowing when it is important to wash their hands, before and after eating, after playing, after holding the animal, that's an important part of washing their hands. Educate children as much as possible take a shower twice a day with soap," said Dion.

Not only about washing hands, clothing hygiene is also a major concern in education.

"Clean clothes, we want to educate after playing and after school to change clean clothes, dispose of garbage, and sort waste. I also apply this to my family, especially my children, how to wash hands and shower twice a day." explained Dion.

This effort is in line with the government's program to improve school facilities that focus on access to water, sanitation, and cleanliness (WASH) that are safe and sustainable in accordance with the 2024-2030 School Sanitation Roadmap.
