Trump Calls Coca-Cola Will Change The Recipe To Be Healthier

JAKARTA - US President Donald Trump said Coca-Cola had agreed to use real sugar cane in beverage products sold in the United States.

Currently, Coca-Cola in America generally uses cornbags. But previously, Trump's Health Minister, Robert F. Kennedy Jr., had voiced his concerns about the health impact of the material.

"I have spoken to Coca-Cola about the use of real sugar cane in Chocolate in the United States, and they have agreed to do so. I want to thank all parties of Coca-Cola," Trump wrote on his social media account, quoted from the BBC website on Saturday, July 19.

The Coca-Cola spokesperson did not confirm the change in recipes. However, Coca-Cola appreciates President Trump's enthusiasm for the latest innovative offering in soda beverage products.

Meanwhile, Coca-Cola, which is sold in the US, is usually sweetened with cornbags. However, Coca-Cola is sweetened in a different way in a number of other countries, one of which is Mexico using sugar cane.

In April, Coca-Cola CEO James Quincey told investors that Coca-Cola is continuing to make progress in reducing sugar in its products.

"Coca-Cola has changed recipes, used global marketing resources, distribution networks to raise awareness and interest in our growing portfolio," James said.

However, the decision to use sugar cane could actually leave a bitter taste for American corn farmers. Corn Refiners Association president and CEO John Bode said in a statement.

"Changing high fructose cornfertose with sugar cane will eliminate thousands of American food manufacturing jobs, suppress farmers' income, and increase imports of foreign sugar, all of which are malnourished," Corn explained.

The US Health Minister and his 'Make America Healthy Again' movement have recommended companies remove ingredients such as cornbags, seed oils, and artificial dyes from their products, then link them with various health problems.

Kennedy also criticized the amount of sugar Americans consume and reportedly plans to update national diet guidelines.

As is well known, Trump is a routine Diet Chocolate warrant who uses asparam-made sweeteners. In fact, he put a button on the table in the oval room of the White House so that soda can be served.
