Airlangga Brings Good News: There Are No Provinces Outside Java-Bali With Level 4 Status

JAKARTA - Chairman of the Committee for Handling COVID-19 and National Economic Recovery Airlangga Hartarto revealed that none of the total provinces outside Java and Bali have implemented the implementation of level 4 community activity restrictions (PPKM).

"The assessment level is improving on a weekly basis. Of the 27 provinces outside Java and Bali, none is at level 4, it is no longer available," he said in a virtual press conference, Monday, October 11.

However, Airlangga admitted that there are still three provinces that apply PPKM level 3. Then, 22 provinces with PPKM level 2, and two provinces implement PPKM level 1, namely Riau Islands and West Nusa Tenggara (NTB).

Furthermore, Airlangga explained, out of 386 regencies/cities, there is one regencies/cities that implement PPKM level 4, 38 districts/cities PPKM level 3, 278 districts/cities PPKM level 2, and 69 districts/cities PPKM level 1.

"Of the assessments that are still increasing, only one is Sabang City because the data regarding the number of existing deaths is still increasing," he said.

Airlangga said that the number of regencies/cities that implemented PPKM level 1 also increased from 52 to 69. Then, of the six regencies/cities that implemented PPKM level 4, Padang City and Banjarmasin City dropped to level 3.

"The positivity rate has decreased in 5 districts, namely in Pidie, Bangka, Padang, Bulungan, Tarakan. The target of the inspection was achieved in several regencies/cities. What was not achieved were Pidie, Banjarmasin, and Bulungan," he said.
