BPS Record Number Of Airplane Passengers Increases In August 2021

JAKARTA - The Central Statistics Agency (BPS) revealed the development of national transportation. The number of domestic air transport passengers departing in August 2021 was 1.1 million people, an increase of 7.26 percent compared to July 2021.

Margo said, the number of foreign tourists visiting in August fell 21.19 percent compared to the number of foreign tourists visiting in the same period last year, which was 161,550 visits.

"Of the 127.3 thousand foreign tourist visits in August 2021, the most came from Timor Leste with 75.7 thousand visits or 59.5 percent," he said.
