Who Is Aga Bakrie, Son Of Nirwan Bakrie Who Will Be The President Commissioner Of Bumi Resources Minerals

JAKARTA - PT Bumi Resources Minerals Tbk (BRMS), a subsidiary of PT Bumi Resources Tbk (BUMI) will appoint Adika Nuraga Bakrie alias Aga Bakrie as the main commissioner. It is planned that an announcement related to this will be published after the Extraordinary General Meeting of Shareholders (EGMS) on Tuesday, October 12, 2021.

Citing the information disclosure of BRMS on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) website, Monday 20 September, one of the items on the agenda of the EGMS on 12 October 2021 was the replacement of the main commissioner.

As is known, the previous BRMS President Commissioner, Saptari Hoedaja, passed away on July 4, 2021. Therefore, the company proposed to appoint a new president commissioner.

"The main shareholder of the company, namely BUMI, proposed Adika Nuraga Bakrie as the President Commissioner of BRMS," explained the management of BRMS.

Meanwhile, at BUMI's EGMS on August 31, 2021, Aga Bakrie was also appointed as President Director of BUMI, replacing Saptari. So who is the real figure of Aga Bakrie?

Aga Bakrie is the eldest child of Nirwan D. Bakrie. Aga was born in Jakarta, December 14, 1981, has held the position of Director of BUMI since 2020 based on the Deed of the Extraordinary GMS No. 101 on September 16, 2020.

Aga Bakrie is also Commissioner of Jungle Land. He has also been a Commissioner of PT Bakrie Sumatera Plantation Tbk starting in 2015.

Aga is also listed as a director at PT Graha Andrasentra Propertindo Tbk as Director (2015-2017), PT Jungleland Asia as Director (2015-2016), PT Graha Andrasentra Propertindo, as Chief Business Development Officer (2014-2015), PT Semesta Marga Raya/Bakrie Toll Road.

Later, he also served as Deputy Chief Financial Officer (2009-2012) of PT Kaltim Prima Coal, as Manager (2008) of PT. Bakrieland Development Tbk, as Investment Specialist (2007-2014) PT Bumi Resources Tbk, Investor Relations (2007), Capital Managers Asia, as Analyst (2005-2006).

In terms of education, Aga obtained the title of Bachelor of Degree education in 2005 from Bentley University, United States of America.
