Head of the ASN Apartment Authority Says It is More Fresh than Hotels in IKN

NUSANTARA - Head of the Nusantara Capital Authority (OIKN) Basuki Hadimuljono assessed that the State Civil Service Apartment (ASN) is more comfortable than the Swissotel Nusantara Hotel.

This was conveyed by Basuki in front of journalists who had the opportunity to cover the celebration of the 81st Independence Day of the Republic of Indonesia at IKN, East Kalimantan. Journalists were directed to stay for several days in the ASN apartment.

"This (journalist) is in the apartment, right? The apartment is better than the Swissotel. In my opinion, it's fresher," said Basuki in a media briefing at the Nusantara City Hall office, Penajam Paser Utara, East Kalimantan, Friday, August 14.

Basuki explained that the ASN dormitory is equipped with the main facilities as a place to live. Inside, OIKN has provided three bedrooms, two bathrooms, three air conditioners, washing machines and tap water that can be consumed directly.

"So it's portable water, you can drink (water) from the tap. So hot water, cold water, air conditioning, everything is there. I think everything is complete," he added.

To note, there are currently 48 ASN Rusun towers that have been completed by the beginning of 2026. Currently, IKN is also continuing several ASN Rusun developments.

Meanwhile, Swissotel Nusantara was built using investment funds from the Nusantara Consortium headed by Aguan. The consortium consists of ten large Indonesian companies, including the Agung Sedayu Group.

The number of investors who are part of the Nusantara Consortium consists of the Salim Group, Sinarmas, Pulau Intan, Djarum, Wings Group, Adaro, Barito Pacific, Mulia Group, Kawan Lama, and Alfamart.
