Synergy, PWI Center and AFPI Sign MoU to Socialize Pindar

JAKARTA - PWI Pusat and the Association of Fintech and Collective Funding Indonesia (AFPI) signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU). Through this cooperation, it is hoped that the literacy of pindar to the public can be wider.

"PWI together with AFPI today held a workshop and also signed a MoU with AFPI, why? Because we know together with many of our people, especially people who are less knowledgeable or have limited financial information and literacy, they become victims of illegal online loans," said Chairman of the Center Akhmad Munir, when met at the Aryaduta Hotel, Jakarta, Thursday, August 6.

Through this cooperation, continued Munir, PWI together with AFPI wants to help provide protection to the public so that they are not victims in this digital era. "We want to provide protection to the public so that they are not victims in the era of loans that can be done online through pindar companies that have proliferated," he continued.

PWI and AFPI, continued Munir, will educate the public through their respective journalists and media so that the public can be enlightened. "We encourage that together we will educate the public through journalists. We are journalists who can encourage how online loans become a part that is really understood by the public so that they do not become victims of illegal online loans," he explained.

Meanwhile, the General Chair of the Indonesian Joint Funding Fintech Association (AFPI) Entjik S. Djafar emphasized that this cooperation is important so that the message can reach the lowest level of society. "This collaboration aims to ensure that messages or news reach the people at the lowest level," he said.

As is known, said Entjik, the billing process carried out by these illegal loan officers is very intimidating and unethical. Therefore, the public needs to be literate so that they can be more careful before deciding to make a loan to the loan shark business actors. "This is important so that the public does not become a victim of illegal loan sharks," he said.
