Danantara Reopens DPT Registration, Accelerates the Development of Waste-to-Energy Projects in Indonesia

JAKARTA - The development of the Waste-to-Energy (WtE) project in Indonesia enters the next phase with the reopening of the registration of the Selected Provider List (DPT) by PT Danantara Investment Management (DIM), through its subsidiary PT Daya Energi Bersih Nusantara (Denera). This DPT registration is a pre-qualification process in the WtE Program or Waste Management to Electricity (PSEL) Danantara.

In line with Indonesia's accelerated efforts to overcome the challenges of urban waste management while building a cleaner energy mix, Denera is present as an integrated waste management company formed by DIM to lead the development and implementation of PSEL projects throughout Indonesia. This initiative is based on Presidential Regulation Number 109 of 2025, which is the basis for regulation in accelerating the development of PSEL projects through the application of environmentally friendly technology.

This DPT registration continues the positive momentum built through the two previous rounds of pre-qualification, which managed to attract the participation of companies from seven countries and showed the high international interest in the WtE sector in Indonesia. DIM and Denera invite companies and consortium members who have the capacity and track record in the development of PSEL projects, engineering, procurement and construction (EPC), technology providers, operations and maintenance (O&M), project financing, and other related infrastructure services to participate in this selection process.

This program aims to identify partners who have the technical expertise, funding capacity, and long-term commitment needed to realize PSEL projects on a large scale to support sustainable waste management transformation and clean energy transition in Indonesia.

Fadli Rahman, Director of Investment Danantara DIM and CEO of Denera, said that the expansion of DPT is part of Danantara's commitment to building a strong and competitive partner ecosystem to support the transformation of Indonesia's waste management in the long term.

PT Indonesia Infrastructure Finance (IIF) was appointed as the Registration and Verification Agent for the implementation of DPT registration. Interested parties are expected to contact IIF through the official email address of DPT registration at [email protected]. IIF will provide a Registration Pack as well as guidance on the DPT registration process, including the requirements for Expression of Interest (EOI), supporting documents that must be submitted, procedures for submitting documents, implementation schedule, and access to virtual data room.
