JAKARTA - PT Agrinas Pangan Nusantara has the task of building, organizing the needs, and managing the Red and White Village Cooperative for two years before being handed over to the village.

Agrinas President Director Joao Angelo De Sousa Mota said the company was involved from the construction stage to the operation of the cooperative.

"We are tasked with building, procuring, and running it for two years," said Joao at the Presidential Palace Complex, Jakarta, Thursday, July 23.

Joao conveyed this explanation when asked about Agrinas' role in the Red and White Village Cooperative program.

He said Agrinas would wait for cooperative management personnel who had completed their education before accepting and placing them.

"I just wait. Wait for who is educated, then we will receive it," he said.

Joao admitted that he did not know when the approximately 30,000 Kopdes managers would be deployed. According to him, the education of prospective managers is not the direct task of Agrinas.

In a meeting with President Prabowo Subianto, Joao said the Red and White Cooperative was emphasized as a national strategic program.

"Red and White Cooperative is a national strategic program. The point is that," he said.

Joao did not specify the division of duties between Agrinas and other ministries and institutions in the development and procurement of cooperative needs.

He also did not explain the value of the budget managed by Agrinas to carry out the program.

When asked about the cooperative model used by the government, whether it refers to Japan, Korea, or India, Joao answered briefly.

"The model is Pancasila. Bhinneka Tunggal Ika," he said.
