BNI Strengthens Stunting Prevention Program on National Children's Day

PT Bank Negara Indonesia (Persero) Tbk or BNI strengthens the stunting prevention program through a number of social initiatives throughout 2026.

JAKARTA - PT Bank Negara Indonesia (Persero) Tbk or BNI strengthens the stunting prevention program through a number of social initiatives throughout 2026. This step is part of the company's contribution to improving the quality of children's health and supporting the realization of the Indonesian Golden Generation 2045.

The program is carried out through the umbrella of BNI Berbagi's social and environmental responsibility. Implementation is carried out gradually since the beginning of 2026 and will continue until the end of the year by targeting nutritional fulfillment, family education, sanitation, and strengthening community health services.

BNI Corporate Secretary Okki Rushartomo said that preventing stunting was one of the company's social programs because children's growth and development in the first 1,000 days of life are an important foundation for human capital quality.

"BNI believes that every Indonesian child has the right to a healthy start in life so that they can grow and develop optimally," said Okki in a written statement to coincide with the momentum of National Children's Day 2026.

According to him, fulfilling children's rights to adequate health, nutrition, and care requires collaboration between the government, business world, health workers, and the community.

"Through BNI Berbagi, we continue to strengthen collaboration with various stakeholders to support the acceleration of stunting reduction as part of our contribution to realizing the Golden Generation of Indonesia 2045," he said.

One of the programs carried out is the Movement of Foster Parents Prevent Stunting or GENTING in Riau Province. The program is carried out together with the Ministry of Population and Family Development / National Population and Family Planning Agency.

BNI also implemented the Healthy Village Free Stunting Program in four villages in Pangalengan District, Bandung Regency. The program combines nutritional fulfillment interventions with family education, sanitation improvement, the implementation of clean and healthy living behaviors, and the improvement of living environment conditions.

The approach is aimed at ensuring that stunting is not only focused on providing food assistance, but also touches on environmental factors, parenting patterns, and community access to health services.

"In line with the spirit of National Children's Day, we hope that more Indonesian children will have the opportunity to grow healthy, develop optimally, and become superior generations," said Okki.

The stunting prevention program is also part of the implementation of the spirit of Swadharma Bhakti Nagara in commemorating BNI's 80th anniversary. Through continuous collaboration, BNI hopes that this effort can expand benefits for families and support the formation of healthy, productive, and competitive generations. (ADV)
