JAKARTA - PT Brantas Abipraya (Persero) has accelerated the completion of the construction of the People's School in Sipak Village, Jasinga District, Bogor Regency, West Java. As of June 28, 2026, the physical progress of the strategic project has reached 81.42 percent and entered the final completion stage (finishing).

Meanwhile, the People's School in Sipak Village, Jasinga District, Bogor Regency, West Java, is targeted to operate in July 2026 ahead of the 2026/2027 New Academic Year.

The construction of the People's School is an assignment from the Ministry of Public Works (PU) as part of the government's efforts to expand access to quality education while supporting the development of Indonesian human resources.

Brantas Abipraya Corporate Secretary Dian Sovana said the company continues to ensure that construction is carried out according to target while still prioritizing construction quality, work safety, and timeliness.

Dian revealed that the construction of the project faced challenges because the previous location was a forest area with contour land conditions and had a slope that was quite extreme.

Before construction began, the project team had to carry out land preparation work through the cut and fill method for about two months. The high rainfall and limited access to the location were also challenges in mobilizing materials and construction. To maintain the progress of construction, Brantas Abipraya implemented mature construction planning, strengthened coordination in the field, and consistently applied safety and quality standards.

Currently, the work is focused on the finishing stage of the building and the construction of a retaining wall to ensure the safety of the area in the hilly area.

This project involves around 960 workers and has the support of 25 personnel of the Territorial Development Army (TP). The collaboration is expected to accelerate the completion of the project while supporting the improvement of education quality and economic growth in the Jasinga area and its surroundings.

Meanwhile, Minister of Public Works Dody Hanggodo said the construction of the People's School is a manifestation of the government's commitment to realizing President Prabowo Subianto's Asta Cita in the education sector.

"The construction of this People's School is a tangible form of the government's commitment to building superior human resources. The PU Ministry wants to ensure that these educational facilities are built quickly and with quality so that they can immediately be used by the community and support the equalization of access to education," said Dody.

For information, the Bogor Regency People's School was built on an area of 6.96 hectares with a hilly contour at an altitude of around 161 meters above sea level. The integrated education area is designed to accommodate up to 1,080 students at the elementary, junior high, and high school levels.

Various facilities are built in an integrated manner, ranging from school buildings for each level of education, male and female dormitories, teachers' dormitories, multipurpose buildings, places of worship, canteens, sports fields, green open spaces, to other supporting facilities to support learning activities.
