JAKARTA - The Ministry of Manpower (Kemnaker) continues to strengthen the quality of graduates of the National Internship Program (MagangHub) by providing facilitation of competence certification from the National Professional Certification Agency (BNSP) for free. This certification is given as a preparation for entering the world of work.

Minister of Manpower Yassierli said that competency certification is an important component that must be owned by MagangHub alumni in addition to the graduation certificate of the internship program.

According to him, the certification is a formal recognition of the skills that participants have acquired during the internship program.

"The government facilitates certification for MagangHub participants who have completed the internship program to increase the competitiveness of the workforce," Yassierli said in a written statement, Sunday, May 31.

Yassierli explained that MagangHub alumni who want to obtain BNSP competence certification can register online by choosing one of the 15 available certification schemes.

The selection of the scheme is adjusted to the field and work experience obtained by the participants during the internship program.

After completing the registration process, Yassierli continued, participants will take a face-to-face competency test at 21 Professional Certification Institutions (LSP) which are in the network of the Central Technical Implementation Unit (UPTP) of the Ministry of Manpower in various regions.

"After registering online, the implementation of the competency test is carried out offline or face-to-face at 21 Professional Certification Institutions through the UPTP Kemnaker network which is spread across various regions," he said.

A total of 21 UPTP consists of six Vocational Training and Productivity Centers (BBPVP), namely in Bandung, Bekasi, Makassar, Medan, Semarang, and Serang.

In addition, there are 15 Vocational Training and Productivity Centers (BPVP) spread across Ambon, Banda Aceh, West Bandung, Bantaeng, Banyuwangi, Belitung, Kendari, East Lombok, Padang, Pangkep, Samarinda, Sidoarjo, Sorong, Surakarta, and Ternate.

Furthermore, Yassierli emphasized that the entire certification process for MagangHub alumni is free of charge. The competence certification is expected to be a valid proof of the skills possessed by the participants so that it is easier to be accepted by the industry.

"This certification is proof of valid skills that are mastered so that it is easier for participants to be absorbed by the industry," he said.

The Ministry of Manpower is currently also continuing to expand the MagangHub 2026 Program with a target of reaching up to 150,000 participants. To support this target, the completion process of the program is now integrated with competency certification to produce graduates who are more ready to face the needs of the world of work.

"It is important for MagangHub graduates to have competency certification as a formal recognition of the skills they have, as well as strengthening their position in the labor market," said Yassierli.
