JAKARTA - Minister of Public Works (PU) Dody Hanggodo said that his party had completed the construction of 222 Nutrition Fulfillment Service Units (SPPB) alias MBG kitchens.
Hundreds of SPPGs are spread across Indonesia with two types of sizes.
"SPPG is finished, thank God, it's good. There are 222 in Indonesia, some are 10x20 and 20x20. So, it depends on the services that will be provided to the surrounding community," said Dody in a media briefing at his office, Jakarta, Friday, May 22.
Dody said that the SPPG built by the PU Ministry was similar to the People's School (SR).
He said, the Ministry of PU was asked by the National Nutrition Agency (BGN) to build SPPG whose point had been agreed with the Ministry of Home Affairs (Kemendagri).
"So, actually SPPG is similar to the People's School. So, we were asked by BGN to build, the point was agreed upon together between the Ministry of Home Affairs, BGN and the Ministry of PU. From there, BGN then determines whether this is a 10x20 or 20x20 building based on the services that will be served by SPPG," he said.
He said, his party is still waiting for further instructions from President Prabowo Subianto regarding the inauguration of the 222 SPPG.
Dody said that currently the transfer of assets from the PU Ministry to the BGN in the Ministry of Finance (Kemenkeu) is being carried out.
"It's finished 222, we are waiting for instructions from the President through the Secretary of the Cabinet and the Secretary of the Cabinet regarding when and where it will be inaugurated. At least 222 has been completed and now we are transferring assets from us to BGN. Now the process is handled by the Ministry of Finance," he explained.
