JAKARTA - PT Medco Energi Internasional Tbk (MedcoEnergi) signed a natural gas commercialization agreement at the 50th Indonesia Petroleum Association Convention and Exhibition (IPA Convex) at the Indonesia Convention Exhibition (ICE), BSD City, on May 20, 2026.

"For the Sakakemang Block, Medco E&P Sakakemang B.V., representing the Sakakemang Working Area KKKS partners and as the state gas seller, signed the framework of the Gas Purchase and Sale Agreement (PJBG) with PT Perusahaan Gas Negara Tbk and PT Pertamina Patra Niaga," he said in a statement to the media, Thursday, May 21.

The amendment includes the extension of the distribution of natural gas from the Corridor Block for the needs of Gas Fuel (BBG) in the South Sumatra, Riau, Lampung, Banten, Jakarta, and West Java regions according to the allocation from the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources (ESDM) of 4 BBTUD until 2030.
