JAKARTA - In the midst of accelerating the implementation of the Free Nutritional Meal (MBG) Program in various regions, the National Nutrition Agency (BGN) reminded its members and the public to be aware of the prevalence of alleged fraud in the form of buying and selling of proposed points for the Nutrition Fulfillment Service Unit (SPPG).

Deputy Head of the National Nutrition Agency, Sony Sonjaya, said the appeal was made after BGN found various information regarding individuals who were suspected of offering management services, acceleration of registration, to verification of SPPG locations in the name of BGN officials, the government, and certain officials.

"BGN asks all active members to prevent and investigate if they find information, suspicions, or clues in the form of documents, evidence of conversations, chats, or communications on social media that lead to this fraudulent practice," said Sony Sonjaya in an official statement, Sunday, May 17.

Currently, continued Sony, there are at least three alleged criminal cases related to the modus operandi of selling location points and SPPG management services that are being handled by law enforcement.

The first case was recorded in Police Report Number LP/B/5/I/2026/SPKT/Polda West Java dated January 6, 2026 which was handled by the Criminal Investigation Unit of the West Java Police. In the case, it was stated that there were 21 victims and investigators had named a suspect.

Then, the second case is the Complaint Report Number P/131/II/2026/Reskrim dated February 16, 2026 which is being handled by the East Lombok Police, West Nusa Tenggara Police, with the status of examination of witnesses.

Sony confirmed that BGN continued to coordinate with law enforcement to monitor the development of the investigation and investigate the possibility of the involvement of certain individuals, including from within.

As a precautionary measure, continued Sony, BGN has instructed all heads of KPPG, heads of MBG task forces in districts/cities, Kareg SPPI, to Korwil SPPI to immediately report if they find similar practices. The information will be forwarded directly to the BGN leadership to expedite follow-up and coordination with the authorities.

Sony also reminded the public not to easily believe in parties who offer services to speed up the registration, verification, and submission of SPPG locations in exchange for certain rewards.

"All processes of implementing the MBG Program must run according to official regulations and not be charged by any individual," he said.

BGN also appeals to the public who know or are victims of alleged fraud by selling location submission points or other service offers to immediately report, especially if the case has been reported to law enforcement.

"Reports and information from the community can be submitted through the SAGI 127 hotline as a form of joint support in escorting the Free Nutritious Meal Program so that it remains transparent, accountable, and targeted," he said.
