JAKARTA - Minister of Cooperatives Ferry Juliantono revealed that the government will soon officially inaugurate 1,000 Red and White Village/Neighborhood Cooperatives in Nganjuk, East Java on Saturday, May 16.
Ahead of this inauguration, Ferry said that a legal umbrella in the form of a Presidential Instruction (Inpres) would be issued soon.
"In the near future, the process of issuing this Presidential Instruction on the operationalization of the Red and White Village Cooperative will be officially issued," Ferry said in his remarks at the Coordination of the Cooperatives Ministry, Wednesday, May 13.
Ferry said that currently the draft or draft of the Inpres Kopdes is in the hands of the Ministry of State Secretariat, which will then be approved by President Prabowo Subianto. However, Ferry did not specify exactly when this policy would be issued.

Furthermore, Ferry said, the simultaneous inauguration of 1,000 Kopdes operations will take place in Nganjuk, Central Java.
Regarding the reason for choosing Nganjuk as the location for the inauguration, Ferry said this was because it coincided with President Prabowo's activities who would inaugurate the Marsinah Museum.
"Mr. President on May 16 will also inaugurate the Marsinah Museum, a labor figure from Nganjuk Regency. At 1 o'clock, he will visit Kopdes and inaugurate operations in Central Java and East Java," said Ferry.
