JAKARTA - Muda Innovation collaborates with Ciputra University to hold the Indonesia Green Jobs Initiative Competition 2026 with the theme "Green Innovation for Indonesia's Future Economy", as an initiative to encourage the creation of green jobs through strengthening the ecosystem of sustainable business in Indonesia.
This program is designed to produce a generation of greenpreneurs who are able to present innovative solutions while creating sustainable employment opportunities. The Indonesia Green Jobs Initiative Competition 2026 is part of the flagship initiative Green Jobs Impact, which was developed by Young Innovation to support the birth of young innovators in the sustainability sector. This program was attended by more than 300+ greenpreneurs from various regions in Indonesia. After going through the curation and selection process, 10 best teams were selected to advance to the grand final stage.
In the final stage of the competition, the three best teams were determined as champions, namely Kapori, Mustav&Co, and CEO Masa Depan. In addition, the Best Paper award was won by Molina, while the Best Presentation was given to Ksatria Airlangga.
The Indonesia Green Jobs Initiative Competition 2026 is not only an event for idea competition, but also a development space for young generations to build sustainable businesses. Participants are encouraged to develop business models that not only provide financial impact, but also create environmental impact, social impact and open up opportunities for green jobs for young generations.
Thus, this initiative is a movement from the youth for Indonesia. Various solutions were developed by participants in strategic sectors, ranging from renewable energy, waste management and recycling, sustainable agriculture, to sustainable transportation. Each innovation is judged based on creativity, readiness for implementation, sustainability of business models, and the potential impact on society and the environment.
Chairwoman of Young Innovation, Restu Andini, said that this competition is a concrete step in building a green jobs ecosystem from upstream to downstream.
"Through the Indonesia Green Jobs Initiative Competition, we want to encourage young people to become job creators in the green sector. Not only looking for a job, but creating new job opportunities through sustainable innovation," he said in a written statement, Wednesday, May 6.
In addition to competitions, this program also presents a mentoring process and capacity strengthening for participants. In this collaboration, Ciputra University also plays a role in monitoring the development of participants' businesses from the initial planning stage to ensuring that the business model developed has the potential to grow in a scalable and sustainable manner.
Assoc. Prof. Dr. Eric Harianto, S.T., M.M., CIHCM., CIPA., CMC. CCD., CSDS. Associate Professor, Corporate Entrepreneurship Expert, Deputy Head Export Kadin East Java, added that the current labor market needs are increasingly moving towards sustainable sectors, so it is important for young people to start understanding green jobs and impact-based innovation.
"Currently, the world of work is beginning to move towards green jobs. Therefore, it is important for young people to have innovations and mindsets that are relevant to the challenges of sustainability. This is also in line with the spirit of collaboration between Ciputra University and Young Innovation in supporting the birth of young innovators who have an impact," he said.
This approach is part of a broader effort to build a sustainable green jobs ecosystem. In line with this, the Indonesia Green Jobs Initiative Competition is one of the pre-event series leading up to the Indonesia Green Jobs Summit 2026. Through this initiative, Young Innovation hopes to accelerate the growth of the green startup ecosystem in Indonesia while producing young talent who are able to become drivers of the green economy in the future.
