JAKARTA - Litigation law firm DNT Lawyers has officially opened a new branch office in the Kuta area, Bali, amid the increasing investment activities and legal service needs on the Island of the Gods.

Managing Partner of DNT Lawyers, Pahrur Dalimunthe, said this expansion is in line with the company's efforts to strengthen its position in the Southeast Asian region.

DNT Lawyers also entered the final list of the Thomson Reuters ALB South East Asia Law Awards 2026 in the Rising Law Firm of The Year category.

According to him, the presence of the office in Bali is expected to provide legal certainty for foreign investors entering Indonesia, especially in the tourism and property sectors.

Meanwhile, Managing Partner Boris Tampubolon assessed that Bali is a strategic market as the need for legal services for investment, property, and the increasingly complex resolution of business disputes increases.

"The demand for legal services continues to increase, especially from investors and business actors who need regulatory certainty," he said.

The opening of this office is also considered to strengthen the investment ecosystem by supporting ease of doing business, as well as encouraging regional economic growth through increased business activities and labor absorption.

The inauguration event, which was held on April 29, 2026, was also attended by the Minister of MSME Maman Abdurrahman, who assessed that the presence of professional law firms was important to support MSMEs and investment in Bali.

Maman hopes that DNT Lawyers can provide responsive and professional legal services, especially for micro, small, and medium business actors (MSMEs) in the region.

"As a leading litigation law firm, I really appreciate DNT Lawyers' role in comprehensively handling various cases. Their presence in Bali is a strategic step to support the growth of the tourism sector, investment, and increasingly rapid business activities," he said.

Appreciation to DNT Lawyers also came from the former Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Indonesia Retno Marsudi.

"Congratulations on the opening of the third branch office in Bali, following Jakarta and Makassar. Hopefully, the presence of this new office can make a real contribution to the enforcement of justice for all Indonesian people," said Retno.

Meanwhile, support from the international economic relations side also came from the Director General of Economic Relations and Development Cooperation of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Daniel Tumpal Simanjuntak.

He emphasized that this step not only brings professional and responsive legal services closer, but also supports the government's work in improving the investment ecosystem and Ease of Doing Business (ease of doing business) for investors.

Daniel saw the potential for close cooperation between the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and DNT Lawyers to jointly contribute to national economic development and growth.
