JAKARTA - PT Pelabuhan Tanjung Priok (PTP Nonpetikemas) managed to exceed its performance target in the first quarter of 2026, while maintaining operational stability in the midst of the dynamics of national logistics flows. This achievement is supported by significant growth in the liquid bulk segment.

The company, which is part of the Pelindo Group, recorded a total non-containerized throughput of 12.04 million tons in the period. The volume includes general cargo, dry bulk, liquid bulk and bag cargo or goods with sack packaging.

In terms of composition, continued Indra, dry bulk still dominates with a share of 46 percent, followed by liquid bulk at 25 percent, general cargo at 24 percent, and bag cargo at 5 percent. However, the liquid bulk segment became the main driver of performance growth at the beginning of this year.

PTP Nonpetikemas President Director, Indra Hidayat Sani, said the performance achievement at the beginning of this year showed the company's operational resilience in facing the dynamics of logistics flows.

"The performance of the first quarter of 2026 shows that the operations of Nonpetikemas PTP are still running optimally with support for an increase in the liquid bulk segment," said Indra in an official statement, Thursday, April 23.

The details, continued Indra, the realization of liquid bulk was recorded at 3.09 million tons or grew 16 percent compared to the same period last year of 2.67 million tons. This figure also exceeded the 2026 first quarter RKAP target of 2.52 million tons.

Meanwhile, dry bulk as the backbone of operations recorded a realization of 5.76 million tons and remained the main contributor. For other segments, general cargo was realized at 2.92 million tons or adjusted 5 percent year-on-year, while bag cargo was recorded at 656,000 tons or a slight decrease of 3.3 percent.

"We continue to strive to maintain a balance of performance across all business lines through improved services and facility optimization," he said.

Operationally, continued Indra, the largest contribution to liquid throughput came from the Teluk Bayur, Pontianak, and Jambi branches. As for the dry throughput segment, the Tanjung Priok, Panjang, and Pontianak branches became the main support for the company's throughput.

The increase in the liquid bulk segment also reflects the strengthening of the distribution of national strategic commodities, including energy and industrial raw materials. This shows the increasingly crucial role of non-container ports in maintaining the smooth flow of the domestic supply chain.

In addition, the stable performance of dry bulk and the maintenance of volume in general cargo and bag cargo indicate that national logistics activity is still in a resilient condition.

On the other hand, PTP Nonpetikemas also contributed to the BUMN Together Homecoming program by providing four Jakarta-Purwokerto round-trip buses that transported around 200 travelers.

Meanwhile, Senior Manager of Corporate Secretary of PTP Nonpetikemas, Fiona Sari Utami, emphasized that the company would continue to improve its performance while carrying out social responsibility.

"We will continue to optimize performance both in terms of operational and business aspects of the company towards customer satisfaction as well as one of the main logistics channels, especially non-packaged packaging. In addition, of course, we will strive to take on a role in society as appropriate social and environmental responsibility according to community needs," he said.

In the future, PTP Nonpetikemas will continue to strengthen the reliability of services through the optimization of equipment and the use of integrated digital systems to increase the efficiency and transparency of business processes, as well as supporting the smooth flow of national logistics.
