JAKARTA - The National Nutrition Agency (BGN) continues to encourage micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs), village-owned enterprises, village cooperatives, and others in disaster-affected areas to become suppliers of nutritious food for the Free Nutritious Food Program (MBG).
Director of Community Empowerment and Participation BGN Tengku Syahdana in Banda Aceh, Friday, April 17 said the incentive was part of BGN's strategic steps in supporting the recovery of the community's economy in disaster-affected areas.
"We continue to encourage MSMEs, village-owned enterprises, village cooperatives, farmer groups, and others in disaster-affected areas to rise and become suppliers of food and other necessities for the MBG Program," he said, quoted by Antara.
Tengku Syahdana said the MBG Program was designed not only to meet people's nutrition, but also to be a driver of the community's economy, especially around the Tooth Filling Service Unit (SPPG) which processes food into nutritious food.
According to him, SPPG as the executor of the MBG Program requires the supply of food items such as vegetables, fruits, meat, and others reaching hundreds of kilograms every day.
"This large need for food materials is certainly an opportunity for MSMEs, village-owned business entities, village cooperatives, and others, to become suppliers. Therefore, we encourage MSMEs, village-owned business entities, village cooperatives, and others to take advantage of this opportunity," he said.
BGN, said Tengku Syahdana, continues to build synergy with MSMEs, village-owned enterprises, village cooperatives, and others in implementing the MBG program as an effort to accelerate post-disaster economic recovery in Aceh Province.
In this synergy, BGN also encourages SPPG to partner with partners from among UMKM actors, village-owned enterprises, village cooperatives, farmer groups, and others, as suppliers of food materials for the MBG Program.
"We also hope that SPPG will provide assistance to MSMEs, village-owned enterprises, village cooperatives, and others, to maintain the quality and capacity of production, so that they meet the standards of the MBG Program," said Tengku Syahdana.
