DKI Attorney General's Office Searches His Office, PU Minister: Audit Results Documents Were Taken

JAKARTA - Minister of Public Works (PU) Dody Hanggodo confirmed that his office was searched by a team of investigators from the DKI Jakarta High Prosecutor's Office (Kejati), Thursday, April 9.

In addition, Dody also confirmed that the working space of Deputy Minister (Wamen) PU Diana Kusumastuti was also searched.

"Yes (both rooms were searched). So, I gave permission to the investigators to search all the rooms in the PU Ministry," Dody said at a press conference at his office, Friday, April 10.

"Because I also haqqul yaqin the entire line-up at the PU ministry also wants to show that they are fine," he continued.

Therefore, Dody emphasized that the search by law enforcement officers was legitimate.

However, Dody continued, he had asked for permission from President Prabowo Subianto before investigators carried out a search in his room.

"Maybe the investigators are a little worried, so I have to ask for special permission from the President. That's about it," he said.

Dody revealed that investigators seized audit documents and a number of books from his office.

However, he admitted that he did not remember in detail what audit documents were taken.

"The audit results document I put in my place are still being taken. I just forgot the details because most of the documents," he said.

"But if the computer is not taken, that's it. I hoped my computer would be taken so I could buy a new one, but it turned out not to be," he explained.

Furthermore, Dody also confirmed that the search took place at the Directorate General of Water Resources and Water Resources Building.

Previously, the DKI Jakarta Attorney General's Office visited the PU Ministry's office in Kebayoran Baru, South Jakarta, on Thursday at around 14.00 WIB and continued the search at 14.30 WIB.

Based on information received by VOI, the search was carried out in three buildings of the ministry complex. One of them is the Cipta Karya Building.

At that time, the number of teams conducting searches was said to be more than 8 cars.

The search at the ministry's office, which was headed by Dody Hanggodo, was completed on Thursday evening, April 9, at around 20.20 WIB.
