JAKARTA - Finance Minister Purbaya Yudhi Sadewa admitted that there were problems with the Coretax service owned by the Directorate General of Taxes, both in terms of design and system, which made taxpayers difficult to use.

"First, the design is wrong. Then I suspect that Coretax here is made messy and maybe it was made a room so that there is a business. Later we will betulin," he said in a media briefing, quoted Thursday, March 26.

Apart from design issues, Purbaya highlighted the weaknesses of the Coretax software which makes the integration process with third-party services slow and difficult for users.

However, he emphasized that the Directorate General of Taxes had prepared a repair program to overcome this obstacle.

"With a new program. Why is it difficult to use? Apparently, one of the weaknesses is that you know there is a software or application service that connects Coretax with the customer? It is faster if you use it," he said.

He added that the special team would continue to update the Coretax service, although improvements could not be made instantly due to the complexity of tax terms in the system.

"Then for the Coratex software itself, later we will need to continue to improve. If the complaint cannot be understood, it cannot be understood in terms of language, it cannot be corrected quickly, but we will improve it again," he said.
