CIREBON - The flow of vehicles on the Cikopo-Palimanan (Cipali) Toll Road in Cirebon, West Java, which leads to Jakarta increased significantly by 161.5 percent on Monday morning after the 2026 Lebaran celebration compared to the same period the day before.

Sustainability Management & Corporate Communications Dept. Head Astra Tol Cipali Ardam Rafif Trisilo said the increase in the toll road showed that the Lebaran traffic had started to reverse.

"The increase in traffic volume towards Jakarta indicates that the return flow has begun to occur," Ardam said in his statement quoted by Antara, Monday, March 23.

Based on the period from 00.00 to 09.00 WIB, he said, it was recorded that around 13 thousand vehicles crossed Cikopo to Jakarta.

"This number increased by 161.5 percent compared to the vehicle volume at the same time the day before," said Ardam.

He said that the flow of vehicles from Cikopo to Cirebon was recorded at around 12 thousand units in the same period. According to him, the accumulated vehicles that passed down about 36.3 percent compared to the same period the day before.

"The flow towards Cirebon is observed to have started to decline compared to the previous day," said Ardam.

He said that overall traffic volume on the Cipali Toll Road increased by about 4.2 percent compared to the same period yesterday (Sunday 22/3).

His party ensured that until now, in general, the traffic conditions in both directions on the Cipali Toll Road are still monitored smoothly.

On the service side, the management appeals to road users to rest in the rest area if they feel tired or sleepy.

If the rest area capacity is full, he said, road users can exit through the nearest toll gate to rest without changing the tariff because the transaction system is closed.

"On the Cipali Toll Road, there are a number of rest areas, namely KM 86, KM 102, KM 130A, and KM 166 towards Cirebon, as well as KM 164, KM 130B, KM 101, and the functional rest area KM 77 towards Jakarta," he said.
