JAKARTA - PT PLN (Persero) has deployed 72,053 PLN personnel to maintain the reliability of electricity supply nationwide during the 1447 H Eid al-Fitr.
"The electricity system is running safely, in excellent condition. The peak load is estimated at around 35 GW (gigawatt) with a supply capacity of more than 51 GW, so the system condition is very safe. The availability of primary energy, both coal, fuel, and gas is also in a maintained condition," said PLN President Director, Darmawan Prasodjo in a statement to the media, quoted Saturday, March 21.

Furthermore, Darmawan emphasized that the readiness of personnel during the standby period from March 12 to 31, 2026, was the front line in maintaining the smooth supply of electricity. "PLN personnel throughout Indonesia are on standby. In the midst of a long holiday period, we continue to work in the field to maintain the reliability of electricity supply. We also ensure that vital objects and worship activities on Eid al-Fitr can run smoothly," he explained.
The personnel were also supported by operational vehicles in the form of 4,901 cars and 4,594 motorcycles, as well as various supporting equipment such as 2,005 units of generators, 773 units of uninterruptible power supply (UPS), 1,349 units of mobile substations (UGB), and 429 units of cranes as layered security.
According to him, this readiness is the result of the synergy of all PLN Group people who have been prepared since a long time ago, including the adequacy of primary energy, the readiness of power plants, to the resilience of the transmission and distribution networks.
In addition to maintaining the reliability of electricity supply, PLN also strengthens support for electric vehicle users. PLN has activated 4,769 units of Public Electric Vehicle Charging Stations (SPKLU) which are spread across 3,097 points throughout the country. To strengthen charging services during the homecoming rush, PLN also prepares emergency services in the form of mobile SPKLU.
