Keep the Price at Rp15,700 per Liter, Bulog Distributes DMO Minyakita to the Market

JAKARTA - Perum Bulog has started distributing Minyakita sourced from the domestic market obligation (DMO) policy for cooking oil to maintain price stability in the market so that it is in accordance with the Maximum Retail Price (MRP) of Rp. 15,700 per liter.

This step is carried out in line with the implementation of the Regulation of the Minister of Trade Number 43 of 2025 which requires manufacturers to channel a portion of the supply for domestic needs.

Director of Perum Bulog Achmad Rizal Ramdhani said, Minyakita from the DMO scheme has been distributed massively to various regions to ensure that market availability is maintained.

"Well, we have poured all of this to maintain price stability in accordance with the HET of Rp15,700 per liter," said Rizal at the Bulog Headquarters, Jakarta, Tuesday, March 17.

In Permendag 43/2025, the government stipulates that edible oil producers are required to channel 35 percent of DMO to state-owned enterprises in the food sector.

There are three SOEs that receive supplies, namely Perum Bulog, PT Agrinas Palma Nusantara (Persero), and ID Food.

From this amount, continued Rizal, Bulog received the largest allocation in the distribution of Minyakita DMO, reaching 70 percent of the total supply distributed to SOEs.

"We require all regional and branch leaders to encourage as much as possible to each market so that the market does not run out," he said.

Rizal ensured that with the distribution that continues to be intensified, the price of cooking oil remains under control and in accordance with the HET that has been set by the government.

"Alhamdulillah, with this condition the situation is under control and the price is quite affordable, namely Rp. 15,700 in accordance with the HET," said Rizal.

In addition to distributing Minyakita, Bulog also continues to strengthen the distribution of rice for Food Supply and Price Stability (SPHP), including to disaster-affected areas in Sumatra.

Rizal said the government had instructed an increase in rice stocks in flood-affected areas such as Aceh, North Sumatra, and West Sumatra.

"Especially for problems in disaster areas, both Aceh, North Sumatra, and West Sumatra, in accordance with the orders of the President and the Minister, the stock is doubled to three times the needs of each region," he said.
