The construction of the road with a total length of around 10.96 kilometers connects the defense and security area with access to the legislative area in the Central Government Core Area (KIPP) IKN.

WIKA President Director Agung Budi Waskito said that the achievement of progress was the result of optimizing the implementation strategy and collaboration of the project team in the field.

"We continue to accelerate work on critical tracks while maintaining the standards of quality and safety at work," Agung said in a statement, Wednesday, March 4.

In addition to strengthening the connectivity of the core area of the government, the road project also provides long-term benefits in the form of increased accessibility between strategic zones in IKN to support economic activities around the development area.

The scope of WIKA's work includes the construction of a road of approximately 10.96 kilometers, the construction of a Multi Utility Tunnel (MUT), six-lane road pavement, and bridge construction.

Currently, the main work that is the portion of the red plate construction company has shown significant progress. Among others, the completion of a portion of the MUT, land and geosynthetic work, granular and cement concrete pavement, and bridge structure progress.

According to Agung, the focus of work is now directed at completing the 3.1-lane bridge, the Paspampres Access Bridge to the HPK Junction, the continuation of MUT construction, and road paving on several sections of the route.

"The infrastructure is designed to support efficient mobility, smooth distribution of government logistics, as well as the integration of sustainable underground utilities," he said.

Agung assessed that all stages of work were carried out with the implementation of Occupational Safety and Health (K3) standards and strict quality control through routine inspections, material testing and adaptive work method supervision.

"In the future, we target the completion of the main structure, so that this project can immediately function as the backbone of the road network that supports the development of the KIPP IKN in an integrated manner," he added.

The presence of roads and utility systems is expected to create a more orderly, modern and sustainable spatial arrangement, as well as a foundation for the development of integrated areas.
