JAKARTA - The Toll Road Regulatory Agency (BPJT) of the Ministry of Public Works (PU) ensures that the Solo-Yogyakarta-NYIA Kulon Progo Toll Road segment Prambanan-Purwomartani will be opened functionally during the 2026 Lebaran period. This step was taken to reduce vehicle density during the period of homecoming and return to Eid al-Fitr 2026/1447 H.

The Prambanan-Purwomartani segment has a total length of 12.23 kilometers (km). The plan is for limited or functional operations to be carried out from KM 30+150 to KM 42+375.

Even so, the operation of the functional lane is situational, depending on the density conditions at the Prambanan Toll Gate (GT).

"In order to support community mobility during the 1447 H Idulfitri period, the Prambanan-Purwomartani segment will be operated functionally without tariffs," wrote BPJT management on its official Instagram account @pupr_bpjt, quoted Wednesday, March 4.

The operational scheme of the Solo-Yogyakarta-NYIA Kulonprogo Toll Road segment Prambanan-Purwomartani will use Route A (left) one way and is only intended for Group I vehicles other than buses.

On the return flow, vehicles from Solo are directed out through the Simpang Sebidang Purwomartani off-ramp to the Solo-Yogyakarta National Road. Meanwhile, on the return flow, vehicles will be directed to enter from Simpang Sebidang Purwomartani to the functional lane until it is connected back to the Kartasura-Prambanan operational section.

"The operational scheme for this functional lane will be implemented at the discretion of the police to ensure the smooth flow of traffic," said BPJT.

Regarding the progress of construction, Package 1.2 B (Prambanan-Purwomartani) which will be opened for functional use has now reached 93.30 percent, while Package 1.1 (Solo-Klaten) and 1.2 A (Klaten-Prambanan) are now fully operational.

In Section 2, the work on Package 2.1 A (Purwomartani-Maguwoharjo) has only recorded a progress of 28.53 percent, while Package 2.2 B (Trihanggo-Sleman) has reached 79.38 percent. Other packages in this section, such as the Monjali and Gamping areas are still in the land acquisition phase.

Finally, all the work on Section 3 which connects Gamping to Purworejo is still in the land acquisition phase.

"Toll road users are urged to always be careful and obey the existing signs and follow the instructions of officers in the field," he concluded.
