Serang-Panimbang Toll Section 2 Rangkas-Cileles Road is ready to be functionalized or opened for free during the 2026 Lebaran period to support the smooth flow of homecoming and return.
The Section 2 function will be implemented for 15 days, starting from H-7 to H+7 Lebaran 2026, namely from March 12, 2026 to March 26, 2026, with operational hours every day from 07.00 WIB to 17.00 WIB.
This step is part of the company's commitment to supporting regional connectivity and providing easy access to various flagship tourist destinations in Banten Province, especially the Lebak area and its surroundings.
President Director of PT Wijaya Karya Serang Panimbang Iwan Juliansyah said that the functional operation was a form of the company's readiness to support community mobility during the Lebaran moment.
"We are committed to providing the best service for road users. It is hoped that this Section 2 function will help reduce traffic density and facilitate vehicle traffic during the 2026 Eid homecoming and return period," Iwan said in an official statement, Monday, March 2.
Through better connectivity, people can more easily reach tourist areas such as the Sawarna Beach Tourism Area, the Baduy adat and village area, the Bayah Dome Geopark area, and the continued access to the Tanjung Lesung tourist area and the southern coast of Banten.
With the presence of Section 2, the journey to the Banten tourist area becomes more efficient, comfortable and integrated with the Serang-Panimbang Toll Road network as a whole.
During this period, the functionalized line includes the line to Cikulur, Cileles and to Jakarta/Merak.
The functional operation is intended specifically for Group I vehicles, to ensure the smoothness and safety during the Lebaran traffic volume increase period.
During the operational period of Section 2, road users will only be charged the Section 1 tariff, so that the public can still feel the additional benefits of connectivity without adding tariff charges for the Serang-Panimbang Toll Section 2.
PT Wijaya Karya Serang Panimbang also ensures that all aspects of safety, traffic signs and operational arrangements have been optimally prepared and will coordinate with relevant parties for the smooth implementation in the field.
"With the functionalization of Section 2 Rangkas-Cileles, it is hoped that accessibility to the southern Banten area will increase and provide a more comfortable and efficient travel experience for the community during the 2026 Lebaran period," he added.
To note, the Serang-Panimbang Toll Road is part of the toll road network connected to Trans Java which connects Jakarta, Serang to Pandeglang.
The toll road is expected to increase the connectivity and accessibility of the Banten region as well as encourage economic growth and tourism in the area.
