The journey of the Basoetta Train was disrupted by a truck, KAI Commuter gave a 100 percent refund option

JAKARTA - KAI Commuter has accelerated the evacuation process of the Commuter Line Basoetta No. 806 series to Soekarno-Hatta Airport which was disrupted after a truck was tempered at the JPL 21 crossing between Rawa Buaya and Batuceper, Friday, around 06.05 WIB.

The incident caused the train to derail and disrupted travel services.

VP Corporate Secretary of KAI Commuter, Karina Amanda, said the company's main focus at this time is to evacuate all users of the Commuter Line Basoetta No. 806 to Soekarno-Hatta Airport and also officers.

"There were no casualties in this incident, it was all safe and evacuated," he said in an official statement, Friday, February 20.

For users of the Commuter Line Basoetta No. 806 who want to continue their journey to the airport, KAI Commuter provides a replacement transport so that the journey can continue.

In handling the incident, the relevant officers have carried out the initial process of evacuating the train series. KAI Commuter also coordinated with KAI Daop 1 Jakarta by sending a train series to the scene to speed up the recovery of services.

"As a result of this incident, the Tangerang Commuter Line currently only serves relations to Rawa Buaya Station to return to Duri Station. Meanwhile, the Basoetta Commuter Line from the airport only goes to Batuceper Station to return to Soekarno-Hatta Airport," explained Karina.

KAI Commuter urges all users to follow the instructions of officers in the field and monitor official information conveyed through the company's communication channels. For the time being, prospective users of the Commuter Line Basoetta who will go to the airport are advised to use other alternative transportation.

As a form of responsibility to customers, KAI Commuter provides a refund option with a 100 percent refund for users of the Commuter Line Basoetta who already have tickets. The refund process can be carried out at Commuter Line Basoetta stop stations.

KAI Commuter also apologized for the obstacles and inconveniences arising from the incident which had an impact on the operation of the Commuter Line Basoetta and the Commuter Line Duri-Tangerang.

"Due to this incident, we have engineered the pattern of operations and canceled the Commuter Line trip," concluded Karina.
