367,800 Vehicles Pass on MBZ Route During Chinese New Year Holidays

JAKARTA - PT Jasamarga Jalanlayang Cikampek (JJC) said that as many as 367,800 vehicles were observed passing through the Mohamed Bin Zayed (MBZ) Flyover during the 2026 Chinese New Year holiday period, a sharp increase compared to the normal daily traffic volume.

"There was a significant increase in traffic volume on the MBZ Route during the holiday period, both from Jakarta and vice versa," said GM Operations and Maintenance of PT. JJC Desti Anggraeni as reported by ANTARA, Thursday, February 19.

He explained that the number of vehicle volumes increased by 72.55 percent from the normal traffic of 266,823 vehicles, indicating the high mobility of the community in utilizing the momentum of the Chinese New Year holiday both for travel outside the city and for the return flow to Jakarta.

Desti also revealed that the general traffic conditions on the MBZ Flyover during the Chinese New Year holiday period were monitored smoothly, safely and under control thanks to the compliance of road users while driving and the operational readiness of road managers.

JJC, he continued, ensures that operational readiness continues to be optimized through periodic traffic monitoring and the readiness of officers in the field to maintain the comfort and safety of road users.

In addition, he said his company also appealed to all road users to continue to prioritize safety in driving by ensuring that the condition of the driver and vehicle is in good condition, maintaining a safe distance, complying with speed limits and anticipating potential changes in weather.

PT JJC also expressed its appreciation and gratitude to road users who have used the MBZ Flyover Road for their contribution to maintaining traffic flow by complying with signs, road markings and officer directions during the 2026 Chinese New Year Holiday period.
