Chinese New Year and Ramadan holidays, Pertamina prepares an additional 1.09 million 3 kg LPG cylinders

SURABAYA - Pertamina Patra Niaga has added 1,096,295 3-kilogram LPG cylinders to all areas of East Java to meet the needs of the community during the long holiday for the Chinese New Year and to welcome Ramadan 1447 Hijriah, namely from 14 to 17 February 2026.

"This amount is expected to be sufficient to meet the needs of community activities during the long holiday that is followed by the celebration of Chinese New Year and the Holy Month of Ramadan 1447 Hijriah," said Area Manager Communication, Relations & CSR Pertamina Patra Niaga Jatimbalinus Ahad Rahedi quoted by Antara, Monday, February 16.

Sunday said that the daily average of LPG prepared by Pertamina outside the Imlek and Ramadan long holidays was 1,590,214 gas cylinders.

With this additional LPG, Ahad ensures that the energy supply in East Java is in a safe condition and sufficient to meet the needs of the local community.

He said that all infrastructure had also been alerted and Pertamina remained standby at the location to ensure the smooth distribution of LPG.

Therefore, Ahad hopes that the public will remain calm and not make excessive purchases because energy stocks are in a safe and sufficient condition and appeals to the public not to panic buying and still buy wisely according to their needs.

"The public should not be easily provoked by information that is not necessarily true, so that the public's concerns are not exploited by irresponsible individuals," said Ahad.

He also asked the public to use LPG according to its provisions, such as LPG kilograms for the poor and LPG Non Subsidies (Brightgas) for the able community.
