JAKARTA - Head of the National Disaster Management Agency (BNPB) Suharyanto asked the Central Aceh Regency Government to immediately submit data on residents affected by disaster based on by name by address (BNBA).
The data collection is a requirement for accelerating the construction of permanent housing (huntap) for flood and landslide victims in the area. According to Suharyanto, all heads of households whose houses were severely damaged, were in disaster-prone areas, or lost due to disasters were guaranteed to be entitled to huntap.
"All heads of families whose houses are severely damaged will receive a huntap per KK, including those who previously lived together in one house. As long as they meet the criteria, we will facilitate it according to the request of the local government," said Suharyanto in his statement, Sunday, February 15.
He emphasized that data validation is the key so that assistance is not targeted and the process of building housing can still be realized immediately.
In a dialogue with the community and volunteers in Central Aceh, residents also expressed complaints regarding the emergency school tent, which was considered unfit and interfered with teaching and learning activities.
Responding to this aspiration, Suharyanto immediately instructed the construction of temporary housing (huntara) specifically for schools with adequate facilities. BNPB will coordinate with the Ministry of Basic and Secondary Education for educational facilities.
"Later, BNPB will build a special huntara for schools according to the needs of the classroom. I have ordered the ranks to immediately process it. For other supporting facilities, I will coordinate directly with the Minister of Education," he said.
On Saturday, February 14, BNPB handed over 252 units of huntara for residents affected by hydrometeorological disasters in Ketol District, Central Aceh Regency, Aceh Province.
Hundreds of units are spread across Kampung Serempah, Kampung Bintang Pepara, and Kampung Burlah. The communal huntara is equipped with a clean water borewell, sanitation and waste disposal systems, and an electrical network that can be used free of charge by survivors.
In addition to buildings, BNPB also provides basic equipment such as floor mats, mats, carpets, mattresses, pillows, mattresses, and blankets. For household furniture needs, an additional support of IDR 3 million per unit will be provided by the Ministry of Social Affairs of the Republic of Indonesia.
"Not only buildings, BNPB also ensures that basic needs are met. Meanwhile, for furniture, there will be support from the Ministry of Social Affairs of IDR 3 million for each unit," explained Suharyanto.
Entering the emergency transition period towards recovery, BNPB also distributed stimulus funds to repair damaged houses, light and medium, construction of huntara, and the Waiting for Housing Fund (DTH) for residents with severely damaged or lost houses.
The amount of DTH is set at IDR 600 thousand per month for residents who choose to rent temporary housing. DTH recipients still receive logistical support during the rental period.
"We are all Indonesian citizens who are affected by disasters. I assure you that the assistance is the same, whether you choose huntara or DTH. BNPB will continue to fill the necessary needs," he said.
For the Linge District, which is still in the development process, BNPB is implementing the DTH scheme until all units are completed. Of the total planned 529 huntara units in Linge, 198 units have been completed and the rest are targeted to be completed by mid-February 2026.
